Good Morning!
Happy Wednesday!
The last few weeks have been absolute mayhem, but I am so happy to be back to a bit of a more regular schedule, and of course, writing for all of you! This week, I am taking you to a building in an area most (myself included) wouldn’t consider the most residential, but sometimes that presents an incredible opportunity. I’ll also give you a spot for after-work drinks or a nightcap with a date that you just don’t want to say goodbye to! Let’s get into it.
The Bryant sits atop a boutique hotel on 40th Street with sweeping vistas from multiple exposures and an amenity package that lends itself to daily life.
Not often sought after for daily life, the area surrounding Bryant Park offers homeowners shockingly convenient access to everything they’d ever need.
This living room blew me away. The floor-to-ceiling windows facing North in this penthouse were framing the city gorgeously. The terrace was stunning as well, but if I am being so honest, the railing felt a tad too low, which made me not want to get too close. I think we’re due for some taller railings when you’re this high up!
This kitchen was gorgeous. I’ve said it in previous editions of the newsletter, but I love wood-on-wood action. To see the Herringbone floors so beautifully compliment a similarly shaded cabinet wall was incredible. It’s exactly the mix of warm with a modern edge (see marble (yuck) island). The scale of the room was also fabulous for throwing large dinner parties and I can see an entertainer absolutely loving this space.
The primary was…..interesting, more on that in a moment. While stunning, with walls of windows and an incredible panel that opens to let air in, it felt small in size in comparison to the rest of the apartment. Scale is something that should feel comparable throughout, and this room didn’t feel as grand as I would have hoped.
Okay. This bathtub. In the closet. WTF. I have never seen such a weird design choice in my life. Ever. I have no words. Please leave a comment because I need to know if I am the only one that finds this so freaking STRANGE.
The amenities are a nice pairing for the type of person living in this building. Residences at The Bryant enjoy amenities including a 24-hour attended lobby, lounge, fitness center with sauna, and access to the Terrace Club with fireplace and full bar overlooking Bryant Park.
My opinion? If you’re a business man (or woman), that doesn’t come to the city often but needs access to your office quickly, this is the spot. You’re basically on top of the SalesForce tower so if you’re in tech, you’ll eat this right up! The penthouse is currently listed for $18,500,000, and honestly, that price isn’t ridiculous compared to other options I have seen in the city!

Right down the street is Celon Lounge. Situated beneath the Bryant Park Hotel, this moroccan inspired bar is perfect for after work-drinks or a last stop on a date. The drinks are interesting, and offer something for everyone. I ordered a smoky margarita situation that came adorned with a black? icecube? It was great. The drinks are all super whimsical in nature, and I enjoyed the selection fully. I will say, if you ask to see the food menu, I’ll warn you now; it’s SUSHI? Strange. Overall, this is the spot for drinks, but wouldn’t neccesarily pull up for the food.

This week’s color swatch is Peaceful Blue by my favorite, Behr! I’ve been incredibly at peace these last few months. Since starting with NextGen, I’ve found an incredible group of people that are exactly what I was looking for. We lead with gratitude and a client forward approach that is continuing to show success with each passing moment. This week’s paint color is more than just something for your powder room but moreso a metaphor. Look to find what fuels you, feels right, and supports you. Peace is found in the appreciation for what you have and those that surround you.
I want to say thank you to everyone that continues to reach out about Selling the Hamptons. It has been absolutely amazing to feel so much love and I am incredibly appreciative. I’m continuing to post reels on my Instagram “jonathanyarton” with clips from the show, so if reality isn’t your vibe, head over there and catch all the moments with muah without having to sit through the episodes (although I highly suggest you DO sit through the episodes bc the drama is JUICY).
