Good Morning!
Happy Wednesday!
You’re definitely reading the title of this week’s edition right! The building we’re visiting this week has rounded windows that each cost $1 Million. I’ve seen developers spend money on a lot of different building features but one million per window felt obscene - until I was standing infront of them. I’m also giving you a restaurant that is not to be missed, and a very spring color swatch perfect for the room that has needed a refresh!
200 East 20th is a building that molds itself perfectly into the surrounding neighborhood. Standing tall, but not intrusively, the building offers its residents gorgeous views of the Midotwn skyline and Gramercy Park.
The buiding has an incredibly inviting entrance draped in the warmest tones and cleanest lines. The building’s ammenity offerings are few, but thoughtful and intentional. As we’ve seen in previous buildings, many amenity spaces are large for the sake of it. 200 East 20th Street creates a lifestyle for its residents that makes sense.
These are the windows! When you get close enough to the window, the rounded effect brings the city right into your home. There is only one line in the building that offers these, and that is the two bedroom corner unit. Of course once you’re high enough up you’ll find them in the larger floorplans, but for the most-part if you’re looking for jaw-dropping views from your windows, a two-bedroom is your best choice.
I went and visited yesterday for the launch event of the building’s first, and what sounds like it’s only, as sales have been incredible, model residence. Decorated entirely by B&B Italia, the home was effortlessly chic, while continuing its feeling of warmth and a “chic-cozy”.
The Primary bathroom is a master-class in beautiful. The seperated tub and shower, dual vanity, incredibly unique sconces, all encapsulated in a marble-wrapped room left me breathless.
My opinion? If you want to live downtown, but not too far down, this is the perfect medium. Situated on 20th, you’re steps away from the “line-of-downtown” but you gain a gorgeous neighborhood. Gramercy is a mini-Upper-East in my book, and I continue to send this building to clients that might not be ready to make the full jump-uptown.
Rezdôra is right down the street from 200 E 20th and is not to be missed. A Michelin Star recipient in 2021 and 2022, Chef Stefano Secchi and Partner David Switzer have created one of the hottest restaurants in town. The menu is centered around house-made pasta, a nod to the restaurant’s name which translates to “head of household”-usually a nonna who hand rolls pasta. Traditionally prepared meat, fish, local vegetables, and Northern Italian wines complement the offerings.

This GREEN?! Pesto Paste by Behr is such a “garden green” and I have no other way to describe it. I think the hue is absolutely gorgeous, and perfect for spring. I could see this used in Kitchen, and if done tastefully, really making a statement.
As always, THANK YOU for reading each week and your comments. Selling the Hamptons has been almost for almost 3 weeks now, and the feedback has been incredible. I will do a recap of the first episodes in an upcoming edition (maybe podcast vibe?), very soon, but for now, thank you for the support. It means the world.
