Good Morning!
Happy Wednesday!
Mortgage applications have skyrocketed in the last week and a new surge of buyers have entered the market. I’ve been busy advising my clients over the last few months that scared money doesn’t make money. The market is a dynamic beast, and one week it can be in your favor but in the blink of an eye, that can change.
Finding Space is still OOM (Out of Manhattan for my new readers), as I continue to recap my euro-summer and the places you must visit! This week, we’re looking at a few spots in Rome I highly recommend on your next trip, and of course, a color swatch that speaks to the history of the city. Let’s get into it.
To some, a former 16th-century palace would sound like an undertaking too great. For Luca Guadagnino, director of “Call Me by Your Name” and “Challengers,” this was an opportunity to put his design studio to the test. Enter, Palazzo Talia.
Palazzo Talia’s interiors have been meticulously designed and thought out to blend the old-world charm of the building while bringing luxurious finishes to guests.
Each room offers a unique experience while feeling cohesive to the rest of the hotel. Often people shy away from showcasing bathrooms but I can’t help myself with this one. The light-green wallpaper is perfectly complimented by a warm-tone stone sink and simple vanity.
In one of the hotel’s larger offerings, guests will experience a living space inclusive of a fireplace that I would personally take 100000 photos of, and the largest terrace available in the hotel.
Palazzo Talia’s largest option is the “Talia Suite,” a 2,700 sq ft space combining two suites, with the Aula Magna conjoining them. With frescoes, ancient marble, and dramatic ceiling heights, guests are truly in the ultimate lap of luxury.
My advice? If you’re looking for something exquisite and luxurious, this is the only place in Rome you should consider. Not only do they have the most gorgeous rooms, but the amenity package is unparalleled. The Wellness Center features a swimming pool, sauna, Turkish Bath, fitness room, and two treatment rooms. The hotel also has masseurs available to suggest the best option for every need.
Fret not my food lovers and cocktail aficionados, Palazzo Talia has incredible offerings to satisfy even the most particular. Bar della Musa is tucked away within the hotel, offering an interior bar that you have to see to believe, and a back patio perfect for a drink and oyster combo. Did I mention they have an incredible oyster happy hour? My recommendation - order the Melpomene, made with Mezcal, Patron Silver, Sage Liquor, Pistachio Milk, Lemon, and topped with foam.
This week’s color swatch is Romanesque Gold (see what I did there!) by Behr. A warm shade of yellow, this color can be found throughout the city in many of the building’s exteriors. I always like to give an example of where the color may work within your home, and I think this is great in a kitchen like the one shown above!
As always, thank you SO MUCH for reading and continuing to support Finding Space each week.
One more important piece of information….
I launched my own team!
The Yarton Group.
That’s all I will divulge for now, but I promise to do a full rundown of the exciting things to come very soon.
