Good Morning!
Happy Wednesday!
The week has been crazy. Anyone else? This was promo-shoot week for NextGen. I’ll give you a sneak peek at the end! I’ve been looking for new buildings that needed a second chance. I’ve written them off in the past but decided maybe things change. After, I’ll give you a great restaurant for that small holiday dinner with your friends before you head out of the city.
108 Leonard is a building that was highly discussed, but that I quickly wrote off. Gorgeous historic building with original details to die for, however, the view is…..less than spectacular on the lower floors. I decided to revisit the building to see something a bit higher-up, and I was NOT disappointed!
I’m a fan of original detailing, and this apartment brings the building’s historic charm in every way. Dark wood accented by a light herringbone wooden floor - a choice some fear to make. Wood on wood, in this case, when done in extremes, presents an incredible opportunity. The depth of tone on the wooden walls creates a coziness and softens some of the more “corporate” elements in the space.
For those who want a closer look, the detailing is unbelievable.
The kitchens are definitely….white. It would be amazing to see the addition of an island in this kitchen as I find it completes the space - especially in kitchens shaped as this one is.

The amenities are stunning. Accented beautifully with neutral tones and textures. The full-scale gym and pool are perfect additions to a building with the clientele this address has commanded (Hi Nicole Kidman).
This lobby? I’m sorry, Lobby? Yes you heard that right. 108 Leonard welcomes residents home through this double-height marble masterpiece. I once heard someone say the most important part of their building was the lobby because its grandeur and scale continued to inspire their drive and motivation. I concur. And to my single-family home dwellers, this applies to you too! We all have a way we enter our home.
One White Street, located inside a 3-floor townhome, is the perfect place when you’re looking for something intimate and away from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. The food is farm-to-table and the menu is ever changing with the seasons. They do also have the option of a tasting menu as well!

This week’s color swatch is “Hampton Surf” as I’m working with a few clients there and have been reminiscing on my times out east. It’s funny because it’s Long Island, but there is something quite beautiful about it. One thing I’ll forever appreciate about the Hamptons is their commitment to open spaces. As we head into Winter, it’s important to remember that warm days are also around the corner!
One last thing! As promised, here is a sneak peek of the NextGen promo shoot. Stay tuned as I’ll be dropping more BTS and content as the week goes on.
Talk to you all soon!
Jonathan
